Well, holy f’n hell.
That’s all I think I can currently muster into words about the latest track from the forthcoming Glen Hansard album BETWEEN TWO SHORES (available January 19, 2018).
First, as if I didn’t already love the first two tracks he released, he smacks us in the face with “Setting Forth” a beautiful song about letting go and moving on.
As he sings, “Darling there’s no good timing to bring this up…” you know that Glen has poured his heart and soul into this song. The piano takes me back to “At This Moment” by Billy Vera & the Beaters and just like the classic, “Setting Forth” is a man’s confession. The classic a confession of love. “Setting Forth” a confession of moving on.
