When The Hundred Days first landed on the music scene with their catchy song “Sex U,” I fell in love with them. At the time I worked in radio, I was pretty obsessed with this band and pushed in getting them into being added to a radio show. I would push the band onto anyone who would listen to me talk about them. They were added to the radio show and god, they were also so good live. The opening slot didn’t give them a great crowd, but they played their hearts out and kicked the butts of those that were there.
The Hundred Days recently released a fantastic EP, called EP-SINGLE, available on iTunes. Their song “Famous Overnight” is our eargasm of the week because it has that lyrical fun that I fell in love with when I first heard the band. With a solid bass line, rhythmic drums, and catchy chorus, one cannot help but sing along to the song. Once the song has it’s hooks in you, you are happily dragged along the journey. I’ve always felt I hear a little 80’s pop circa Talking Heads in the vocals and beats of The Hundred Days and I still do. I just dig this band/song. I hope you do too!
