Lend your ear to “Weary Eyes” by Augustines from the their self-titles album. Augustines were formerly called We Are Augustines with guitarist Billy McCarthy, multi-instrumentalist Eric Sanderson and drummer Rob Allen.
I could wax poetic and spit out a diatribe of why this song is good, but I’ll let the music do the talking on this because I honestly can’t tell you why I like it. I just do. I don’t know if it’s the vocals, the lyrics, the chorus, the music, or a combo of them. It’s unusual for me to not be able to pin point why I like a song, but that’s a good thing I think. There’s something about this song that I like and that’s good enough for me.
