Queensrÿche might have put concept albums and rock opera albums on the “metal” map with OPERATION: MINDCRIME. It was their 3rd studio release and gave us the story of a recovering drug addict who becomes disillusioned with the corrupt society of his time and reluctantly becomes involved with a revolutionary group as an assassin of political leaders. For the video of “I Don’t Believe in Love” we meet said recovering drug addict as he’s being interrogated on the death of a nun. Did he do it because he loved her and was jealous? Was he framed by a jealous priest? It’s one of my favorite songs from OPERATION: MINDCRIME.
