[MEDIA RELEASE] Forever champions of the local magic coming from the Surf Coast and Otway Hinterlands, the Meadow team are continuing to do just that as they announce the winners of the local band competition that will join their 2025 line-up featuring Hiatus Kaiyote, Pond, MJ Lenderman & The Wind, Empress Of, Kaiit, Floodlights, and more for their last festival. Gearing up to enjoy one final weekend EVER in the BambraBowl on Gulidjan, Gadubanud and Wadawurrung land, the selected local artists promise auditory delights from across Victoria’s regional South-West, alongside new mainstage additions including Guitar Wolf, Pureblast (Fka Baraka), Twine, Mika James, Follow The Robin and James Range Band.
Throwing the doors open to the Retreat Creek Hotel, a dusty front bar filled with surprises, this year of Meadow provides new performance opportunities for regional acts that are often few and far between outside the city. Named after the waterway that winds through the valley below the event, the stage will see performances from local acts Boggle, Daisy Kilbourne, De Porsal, Jerry, Lina, Norwood, Robbie Divine, and Solar Wax, with Think About You winning a main stage slot.
Cameron Wade, Meadow Co-Founder, says,
“Reimagining the iconic acoustic guitar set featured in all good countrywatering holes on a Friday night, we’ve selected a stack of local talent including Geelong songstress “Daisy Kilbourne”, Surf Coast krautrock punks “De Porsal” and avant-garde sax driven instrumental trio “Boggle” representing Apollo Bay. We’re beyond buzzing to showcase our region and are incredibly proud of the calibre of artists we’re able to present.”
The new Meadow additions don’t stop there, with Japanese garage rock trio Guitar Wolf joining the lineup, alongside French DJ and live duo Pureblast (fka Baraka), South Australian noise rock project Twine, The Vovos’ Mika James, songwriter Follow The Robin, and James Range Band; the next generation of rich talent coming out of the Central Australian desert, made up of family members from the proud Pitjantjatjara community of Utju.
Upholding their legacy of love for all things local and creating an experience for all the senses, Meadow is set to host a selection of food vendors from the surrounding areas. Enjoy hand-stretched woodfired pizza from Airey’s Inlet’s Pete’s Pizza, or Torquay’s burger favourites ‘Gypsy Burger’ and locally inspired Mexican ‘Perla Taco’s, while Melbourne and Surf Coast coffee van Tin Can Alley Cafe will be around all weekend for your early morning (or late) coffee fix.
Every vehicle attending the festival will require a car pass. All proceeds support replanting native trees and shrubs across the festival site and surrounding areas (via East Otway Landcare). Hundreds of baby trees from past plantings will be starting to mature by the time punters arrive in Autumn!
The “Bambra Express” bus passes are available for the 2025 event. A $62 + BF return pass will get you from Melbourne Southern Cross Station to Bambra and back again.
General Release tickets are now on sale for $298+ BF, teenagers accompanied by adults can join the festivities but require a full ticket, while children under 12 enter for free.
Whether you’re getting your blanket ready to park on the hill and enjoy the serene sundown, or packing your dancing shoes one final time, don’t miss the opportunity to experience this last all-mighty party in the Bambra Hills.
