After taking 8 years off, Modest Mouse is back, releasing Stranger to Ourselves last week. They have such a distinctive sound,thanks to lead singer Issac’s Brock voice which is at once stilty and smooth. And while the first two singles that were released are classic Modest Mouse, I like this one because it is a bit funkier with this great base line with echos of Howard Jones in there.
