Anti-Flag: Lies They Tell Our Children

Some say as you grow older, your tastes and attitude will become more conservative but that is clearly not the case with Anti-Flag and we are all better for it.

The punk icons have put in over 30+ years of hard work and have zero signs of slowing down as their latest album Lies They Tell Our Children is an onslaught of rock and punk at its finest.

Lies They Tell Our Children also features appearances from Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage, Shane Told of Silverstein, Tim McIlrath of Rise Against, Brian Baker of Minor Threat and Bad Religion, Ashrita Kumar of Pinkshift, Campino of Die Toten Hosen, Tré Burt, Stacey Dee of Bad Cop/Bad Cop.

The band still does not shy away from politics or vocalising the struggles of the underdog and that is what and will always make Anti-Flag a shining star. They are a beacon for the disenfranchised and for those who feel they may have no voice to be heard and they fucking rock while doing it.

In 33 minutes and with 11 songs, Anti-Flag attacks bigotry, oppression, and injustices with a passionate, bold, and loud fervour. Their musicality is ageless. The melodies are tightly woven. The lyrics are catchy enough for the casual listener or for the more diehard fan or serious listener, infused with pointed criticism of those that oppress in anthemic proportions.

No matter where you stand as an Anti-Flag listener, new or old, Lies They Tell Our Children does not disappoint.
