Sadye says the song is about,
Going back to someone you know is bad for you over and over again. Like, yes, I’m caught in this person’s web, but maybe I know exactly what I’m doing.
What I really enjoy with the lyrics are the subtle double entendres and the seemingly sarcastic undertones that Sadye so eloquently sings. “Biblical” has an infectiously catchy chorus that is only amplified by Sadye’s ethereal vocals. The lightness of her vocals betray the darker meaning of the lyrics but they work in a beautiful yin and yang way that is going to make “Biblical” a dance floor classic.
