From their forthcoming EP, Cause and Effect, Salt Lake City’s City Ghost has unleashed their latest single, “Good News”.
Lead singer, O’Neill says this on the single,
A sentiment for being fed up with mental health struggles and just wanting to find the light at the end of the tunnel. The song ebbs and flows through themes of struggle and relief, and crisis and hope.
Through “Good News”, City Ghost navigates the highs and lows of mental health with sincere lyrics, heartfelt vocals, and guitar riffs that soar with ease.
On their music inspiring others to be their true authentic selves, O’Neill confides,
I love seeing others discover their passion and act on it and trust themselves in the process, and I would hope that listening to this would inspire that.
Inspiring others to be their true authentic selves is easy when City Ghost themselves are also their true authentic selves. Their openness to vocalise mental health through song allows others the capacity to acknowledge their own struggles, to see that others also struggle, and to know they are not alone.
