The latest from Nathan Nicholson (vocals), Andrew Smith (guitars), Adam Harrison (bass) and Piers Hewitt (drums), better known as The Boxer Rebellion, is a stunning track of resiliency.
The second single from their upcoming EP, vocalist Nathan Nicholson explains,
“‘Lightness Out Of Darkness’ is a song about perseverance, knowing that every sunset has a sunrise and obstacles only stay obstacles when you lose faith in yourself.”
Produced by Sam Duckworth, the song is poetry in motion and a beacon of light in the dark. Fraught with hypnotic percussion, hymnal vocals, beautiful guitars, and rhythmic bass, “Lightness Out of Darkness” is a beautiful mix of vulnerability, grace, and wisdom.
It’s the closest one could ever be to having an angel sitting on their shoulder and letting them know everything will be alright.
