LISTEN: “You’ll Always Have Us” and “Everything Works Out In The End” by Bottlemoth

Indie-folk quintet Bottlemoth has dropped a rocking double single featuring “You’ll Always Have Us” and “Everything Works Out In The End,” both from their anticipated debut album Even Us Ghosts due out on October 17.

Following on the heels of their debut single, “Tattoo”, the double single is a reflection of Bottlemoth’s evolving sound. “You’ll Always Have Us” begins with a raw and heartfelt quality with its origins tracing back to voice memos captured on a nylon guitar. The track’s simplicity and sincerity mirror vocalist Ethan Proctor’s reflections on maintaining connections amidst the whirlwind of city life and global disruptions.

On the other hand, “Everything Works Out In The End” delivers a more polished finish, with lyrics completed during a tour stop in Glasgow. This track demonstrates the band’s growth and their commitment to crafting messages of reassurance and hope. Ethan’s emphasis on crisp and concise yet powerful lyricism shines here, echoing a timeless sentiment that “our biggest problems now won’t matter in 6 months.”

On the songs, Ethan says,

“These two songs were the first and last to finish whilst writing the record. They really sum up everything the album is trying to say. Be there for those you love the best you can, and try to worry less as everything works out in the end. The two songs match up really nicely now, so we were excited to share as a double single.”

With Chessa Proctor Williams on vocals, keys, Matt Bond on vocals, lead guitar, Henry Matthews on bass, and Tom Farkas on drums, Bottlemoth produced both songs in home studios with mixing by Adrian Hall. The songs showcase Bottlemoth’s ability to meld personal introspection with a grander and more universal appeal. With Even Us Ghosts on the horizon, these singles mark a promising start for Bottlemoth’s new chapter, offering a blend of introspection and optimism all to the beat of great tunes.
