Just in time for Halloween, Cradle of Filth unveils their new single and music video, “Malignant Perfection.” Known for their macabre musical style, the band channels the season’s dark allure through a video that feels like stepping into a nightmare brought vividly to life. Directed by Vicente Cordero, the video is a masterclass in gothic horror and features demonic creatures and eerie landscapes that embody the chilling thrill of All Hallows’ Eve.
The visuals for “Malignant Perfection” dive deep into the band’s dark thematic universe. Dani Filth’s haunting vocals lead the way, backed by layers of eerie keys and razor-sharp riffs that add to the video’s menacing tone. Missy Munster’s creative direction enhances the atmosphere, conjuring sinister beings and unsettling imagery that capture the spirit of the witching season.
In describing the track, Dani Filth says,
“Our new single and video, ‘Malignant Perfection’, is our horrific homage to All Hallows Eve, as embodied by the female deification of evil. It is a perfect musical accompaniment to the spirit of the witching season; invoking dark, Autumnal splendour and celebrating the time when the thin line between life and death is at its most tenuous and the denizens of the otherworld seek to break the veil into ours.”
This Halloween-season release comes just ahead of Cradle of Filth’s European tour and follows their recent collaboration with fashion brands Vetements and Blackcraft Clothing, adding an extra layer of anticipation around the band’s evolving legacy.
