This may be my favorite cover of PAT BENATAR‘s “LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD”.
From their debut album SEVERED TIES, THE AMITY AFFLICTION nails this cover. While keeping the feel of the overall vibe of the original but making the drums heavier and the guitars more haunting, where TAA, bring their touch is the vocals.
The vocals of AHREN STRINGER and JOEL BIRCH is a ying and yang, showing the delicate and the angry side of the song. They are able to emit perfectly the emotion that Pat carried in the original.
