DEBUT EP REVIEW: The Art of Letting Go by ANA

Formed in Melbourne in January 2023 with Anna Khristenko on vocals, Josh Mak on guitar, Tory Giamba on bass, Cleveland Beckford Gonzalez on drums, and Matt Williamson on keys, ANA is redefining symphonic metal with their debut EP, The Art of Letting Go on March 29th on Eclipse Records

With Anna’s ethereal vocals soaring over dynamic guitar riffs, deep grooves, and elegant waves of keys, the five piece meticulously blend passion and precision into a powerful sonic explosion.

Anna’s classical background in opera shines through her masterful vocal delivery. She effortlessly laces intricate melodies and emotions into each track. From the haunting melodies of “I’m Not the One” and “Moth” to the adrenaline-fueled energy of ”Scars” and “Ourobouros,” each track takes one on a journey of self-discovery and transformation.

Weaving through tales of love, loss, and redemption, ANA’s storytelling isn’t in just the lyrical sense, they’ve also created their own comic book which features all the members in story of Goddess ANA and her four masked super humans on a quest to free humanity from the monotony of everyday life.

ANA may be fresh to the “music scene” as a band but they have created an exhilarating journey into the heart of symphonic metal with their dynamic sound and dynamic storytelling and The Art of Letting Go is a spellbinding journey of passion, power, and pure precision.
