DEBUT SINGLE: “Sorrow” by Lovegone

If you are a regular reader here, you’ll recognise the name Davey Oberlin from All the Damn Vampires if not from his contributions to Korn and Five Finger Deathpunch. The man seems to not have enough creative outlets and that only benefits music lovers!

His latest musical project Lovegone is a collaboration with Bobby Schubenski who was the one half of the creative mind behind the brand Black Craft Cult. The duo have joined forces to create a sound that is a visceral pull at the emotions and heart.

Case in point their debut single, “Sorrow” featuring Frye. The lyrics feel as if they were ripped straight from the diary of a broken heart if not a broken soul. Adding to the emotion is how Frye sings the lyrics. At times a spoken word confessional and others beautiful expressed sadness, or should I say sorrow.

Davey and Bobby offer a musical ambience that is a mix of delicate and fragile synths, beats, and loops, but that is also steeped in undertones of hope and love.

Prepare to be drawn into a world of raw emotion and sonic beauty.
