Formerly a quartet, Skies of Terra, now the duo of Euclides Polanco and Justin Townsend, released their debut album Lunar in 2019 and the EP, The Party is Over in 2022, alongside of a remix of the EP in 2023 that was infused with hip-hop trap influences.
With 2024 in gear, the duo are on the verge of releasing their latest single, “Trinity” from their forthcoming album Dreamcatcher.
Dreamcatcher features collaborations with Pat McElravy (Seethe), Nikolas Erikson(Cohen_Noise), Dylan Edwards (Followship), Josie Banks (Haven State), and Dylan Ellis (Entheogen).
With music as an outlet to exorcise mental demons, Skies of Terra took Euclides return from rehab and channelled depression, PTSD, and addiction into healing words and music.
“Trinity” explores anxiety and how one looks to others to calm themselves. A blend of hardcore and nu-metal, “Trinity” is ripe with angry beats, hostile vocals, and thunderous rhythm. It smartly conveys the anxiety of the mind with bombastic instrumentation that is frenetic and frenzied like an overwhelmed mind would feel. “Trinity” is an honest and genuine look into how anxiety feels for some.
Proceeds from any streams and album purchases will go to charities involved in Mental Health Awareness.
Out on January 11th, pre-save “Trinity”.
