Takida formed 1999 in Sweden and have six platinum singles, three platinum albums, and five #1 albums under their belt.
To say they are one of Sweden’s most successful rock bands could be an understatement. Nonetheless, the Swedish rock gods, Takida, recently announced they had signed with epic rock and metal label, Napalm Records.
Takida is Robert Pettersson on vocals, Tomas Wallin on choirs and guitars, Mattias Larsson on guitars, Chris Rehn on bass, keyboards, guitars, programming and arrangements, and Kristoffer Söderström on drums.
With their announcement of joining the label, the band says,
Exciting times are just around the corner and we can’t wait to start working with Napalm Records.
While they’re plugging away on music, Takida released a standalone single, “The Loneliest Hour”. It is their first piece of new music since their 2021 album Falling From Fame.
The band says this of their new song,
‘The Loneliest Hour’ is about seeking the ultimate thrill, constantly being on the verge of losing one’s footing, until eventually being unable to resist the obsessive thoughts. To become too greedy and seek something better, and in the end, one loses everything, over and over again.
