EP REVIEW: Grayscale Recollections by Seethe

Seethe‘s latest release, Grayscale Recollections, marks another bold step in their sonic evolution. The EP showcases their knack for creating music that feels both unsettling and immersive. Tracks like “Mourning After Morn” plunge the listener into a brooding world, where jarring rhythms and haunting melodies swirl into a vortex of unrest. The heavy, gritty sound is reminiscent of legends like Nine Inch Nails, Tool, and White Zombie, yet Seethe brings a fresh intensity to the mix.

Featuring Six Scars and Demo Demon, “In Tongues” stands out for its infectious beats and captivating blend of rapping, gutturals, and harsh vocals. There’s a militaristic cadence beneath it all, evoking early Marilyn Manson while forging its own identity. The fusion of styles feels surprisingly cohesive, blending aggression with groove.

Then there’s “So There (Saturate),” which might just be the heaviest track Seethe has released to date. Brutal screams, harsh vocals, and guttural growls deliver an uncompromising punch, making it my personal favourite from the Grayscale Recollections EP . The track exemplifies Seethe’s ability to push their sound to new extremes

Grayscale Recollections showcases Seethe’s ability to blend chaos with cohesion, aggression with atmosphere, and experimentation with raw power. Each track on the EP brings something unique to the table, yet they all tie together seamlessly to form a cohesive experience.
