I know Powerwolf released their cover of “Bark at the Moon” for Ozzy Osbourne’s 75th birthday that was on December 4th, but I didn’t get a chance to sit down with it until recently and it’s a gem of a cover.

Elements of the 1983 classic can be heard throughout, but Powerwolf has elegantly infused their soul into the song, essentially making the cover their very own.

From the band’s Youtube, they say,

“This is not the first time that we have paid tribute to this exceptional artist with a cover song! But the occasion and the song couldn’t be more fitting! Happy 75th birthday “Prince Of Darkness” Ozzy Osbourne! Let’s howl together for him to ‘Bark At The Moon’!”
