The single’s pointed lyrics take a sharp aim at the absurdities of modern life, skewering the fragility of fake news, the self-importance of TED Talk speakers, and the arrogance of health influencers and dictators alike. Tom and Richie’s deadpan vocal delivery underscores the track’s biting social commentary, crafting a narrative that’s both a critique and a confrontation. As the song crescendos to its jarring, discordant conclusion, it presents a stark and sobering reflection of our current path that is reminiscent of the chilling urgency conveyed in the Zapruder film.
