While I’m late on the latest from Silent Forum, sometimes I think it’s really the Universe knowing when I’m going to connect with a song the most. Had I listened to “Treat Yourself” when it was released, I don’t think I would have mentally connected with it. The job that pays my bills and allows me to listen, write, and create for Amplify the Noise was go go go. The thought of treating myself would have been far from my mind but it should have been in the centre.
Now, as the go, go, go has ceased, the lyrics from “Treat Yourself” resonate more with soul.
It’s a song I want everyone on the planet to hear, just for these lyrics.
