Following her dynamic single, “Black and White”, Annie Dressner is back with her latest single “18 Years” whilst also announcing her UK headline tour!
With her songwriting mastery, Annie cuts to the chase in “18 Years” with the realisation that sometimes others in your life don’t see you the same way as you may see them.
Featuring backing vocals from Polly Paulusma, Annie says this of the song,
“This song is about sadness and feeling completely let down. It’s that sinking feeling of realising you didn’t mean what you thought you did to someone, and coming to terms with that immediate loss in that moment. Heartbroken and still wishful, yet self-protecting.”
While “18 Years” may be uptempo with a gentle acoustic guitar, it’s the lyrics that sting with melancholy and a raw and unfiltered truth that hits close to the heart.
