Holy crap on a cracker man. Maynard James Keenan, Trent Reznor, and Atticus Ross collaborating! It’s like a dream come true.
On March 31st, Puscifer released, Existential Reckoning (Re-Wired). Originally released in 2020, Mat Mitchell says this of latest version,
Existential Reckoning: Rewired is a dataset of revoiced and reassembled orchestrations by friends and members of the larger Pusciforce family.
And Maynard further adds,
Sometimes it’s just fun to break stuff. Then you latch on to one familiar piece and build something entirely new.
The reimagined version by Trent and Atticus takes the original version and elevates it into an almost dance trance track. If one is familiar with the stylings of Trent and Atticus, it’s easy to pick up the nuances the dynamic duo have brought to “Apocalyptical”. There are elements of their version that scream Nine in Inch Nails and it’s glorious.
