From their forthcoming self-titled debut album (March 28, 2025), Velvet Bloom’s new single, “Best In You”, is a refreshing blend of classic soul and contemporary flair that is sure to grab your attention. With its infectious horns, rich vocal harmonies, and uplifting message, the track is an impressive showcase of the band’s evolving sound.

The song’s infectious energy is driven by its carefully crafted horn arrangements from composer and saxophonist Brennan Hamilton-Smith, a first for the band. The brass adds a bold, dynamic layer to the track, giving it a warmth that complements the stacked vocal harmonies. These harmonies, thoughtfully arranged by the band, play off the horns in ways that feel both intricate and natural, creating a unique musical dialogue that elevates the track.

“Best In You” offers a message of compassion and understanding, celebrating the ability to see the good in others even when things aren’t perfect. It’s a reminder to embrace the complexities of our relationships by acknowledging both the flaws and strengths in those we care about. This theme is brought to life with a confident vocal performance that matches the song’s upbeat, feel-good vibe.

If you’re looking for a song that combines depth with joy and leaves you feeling hopeful, “Best In You” is worth adding to your playlist.
