From their upcoming EP, Move to LA, four piece indie sensation, Myriad have released an absolute firecracker of a track with their fourth single “Getting Started”.
Myriad is blending their modern indie influences with the timeless appeal of classic 00s indie rock, creating a sound that is uniquely their own. With inspiration drawn from acts like Catfish and the Bottlemen, Sea Girls, and Arctic Monkeys, the band infuses “Getting Started” with an energy that is both exhilarating and irresistible.
On the song the band says,
“’Getting Started’ is about renewing with someone you’ve had a turbulent history with, and experiencing the honeymoon phase all over again, even though they have led you on in the past, and you know it’s probably not going to end well.”
Despite its title, “Getting Started,” Myriad proves they’re well on their way to greatness. There’s an abundance to adore, even love, about “Getting Started,” and truth be told, it’s hard to know where to begin with the praise!
The vocals are pristine and airy, with an infectious quality to their tone that captivates from the first note and the music itself exudes exuberance and zest.
And let’s not forget about the lyrics, they’re catchy, embedding themselves in the mind and ear with their infectious hooks. Before one knows, they’ll find themselves not only singing along but also tapping your toes and dancing to the irresistible beats.
“Getting Started” is an instant mood-lifter; its upbeat energy is simply contagious.
