Equal parts catchy and encouraging, the latest, “Glass Half Full (Don’t Be Afraid)” from The Optimist In Me’s forthcoming album You Should Smile More Often (November 17th), finds the Netherlands alt rockers still encouraging one to embrace their inner optimist.
The band is the epitome of the Sanskrit word, ‘namaste’ – the inner optimist in them, honours the inner optimist in you.
Weaponizing the knowledge that music is the Universal language, The Optimist In Me let others know they are never alone no matter where they are in their journey. They in fact encourage others to join them on the band’s journey and through their live shows.
“Glass Half Full (Don’t Be Afraid)” finds the band inspiring one to look at the adage of ‘the glass half full’.
Is it half full of nothing or is it half full of something? Perhaps it’s a perfect balance of both.
No matter how one looks at the proverbial glass, The Optimist In Me points out the fact that no one should be afraid of looking inside to find the answer and what it takes to create a better future for oneself.
