Toronto based D.I.Y pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Aviv has released her latest single, “Jimmy’s House” with delicate vocals that are filled with depth and emotions.
On “Jimmy’s House”, Aviv says it is
A song about worry, particularly anxiety caused by physical distance. We grow so used to that person always being there and when they aren’t, and you’re left alone, you become lost.
With her lyrical storytelling, I get the vibes of early Jewel and like her predecessor, her age and vocals betray each other. While young in age, her vocals have a strength of a life lived and of a life that is deeply rooted in one’s confidence. While “Jimmy’s House” may be about anxiety, that feeling is far from being exuded in Aviv’s voice.
