From their forthcoming debut album, DK.01, Das Koolies has released their second single “Nuthin Sandwich” from the album.
The band says this of the song,
Small town America. Long roads with no changes to the view. New Mexico? Arizona? Truth or Consequence. Big country, big guns, big trucks. A first world country with parts of it stuck in the third.
What I particularly enjoy about “Nuthin Sandwich” is the hint of Dave Gahan vocal influence plus an 80’s synth vibe and an ethereal Depeche Mode feel.
“Nuthin Sandwich” felt nostalgic to the 80’s child within and all the while modern for the current age that I am.
With DK.01 being released on September 22, “Nuthin Sandwich” will allow transcendence above the dancefloor until then.
