“So Profound” from the seven track EP of the same name finds London-based singer-songwriter, Charlie Vaughan channelling The Beatles and easily strolling through the daily grind with effervescent pianos.
On the song, Charlie says,
“It’s narrating a bad day at the office. A monotonous grind that’s endlessly looping. You’ve still got hope that it will change but there’s some inner voice trying to put you down. This is a song that’s not very kind and the narrator definitely deserves a poke in the eye.”
While the song may be inspired by monotony, “So Profound” is anything but. Vibrant and bright, the song could be a soundtrack to a summer Sunday morning with its pianos and easy vocals. Charlie’s keen eye is able to take the ordinary and make them extraordinary.
“So Profound” is a toe tapping bop.
