LISTEN: “SRG” by CRiNC

Music
Shelia Taylor
September 16, 2023

From Bangor, North Wales with a banger of a tune is Crinc (stylised CRiNC) and their song “SRG”.

Blink and you’ll miss the fast and furiously fun track that clocks in at a mere two minutes and thirteen minutes.

Self described as a Welsh Republican Soviet minimalist punk neo-rave post mod cyber environmentally toxic industrial basement garage group, CRiNC released one other song, “PPC”, in August this year.

“SRG” has a wonderful blend of an 80’s dreamy rock sound like that of My Bloody Valentine while the vocals give me The Jesus and Mary Chain vibes circa their Psychocandy era.

With very little out there about CRiNC, without further ado, I’ll let “SRG” do the talking.

Translated lyrics for “SRG”

Let it be said,
Over the white canvas,
Something in his pocket,
Something on her head…
“Don’t Worry, I’m SRG”
Cow in the cowshed,
With a coal man,
Another side calf cries out,
“Can you go?”
“Don’t Worry, I’m SRG”
“Don’t Worry, I’m SRG”
Oh let it shine
Try to keep fit
Never worry
 About some ass from Glanaethwy
“Don’t Worry, I’m SRG”
“Don’t Worry, I’m SRG”
I’m SRG
I’m SRG
I’m SRG
I’m SRG
