From the misty shores of Finland comes Folkrim who evolved from solitary origins to a fully-fledged folk-infused death metal force. With their latest album Embers due out on April 5th, they’re ready to ignite a fiery journey through the depths of despair.
A spark to that flame is their latest single, “Suoherran Hovi.”
A whirlwind of folk-infused metal and jazzy beats plunges one into a dingy swamp of sound. With “Suoherran Hovi” frontman Erno Helander provides the harsh vocals while drummer Eetu Ritakorpi, bassist Viktor Suominen, and guitarists Iiro Sarman and Otto Hyvärinen trade their for chuggy thick riffs and rhythmic beats that pound straight to the core.
