Man, if Warped Tour was still around, Chicago’s Nick Karcher would have owned the hearts and ears of anyone who saw him on stage.
But Nick doesn’t need a Warped Tour stage own hearts and ears, his latest single, “The Hard Bitter Truth”, will steal them on its own.
On the song, Nick confides,
Writing this one was almost like looking into the future a bit. I knew it was time for the relationship to end and I knew it was going to hurt. The thing was, I knew it was going to hurt me a lot more. But that was the hard bitter truth.
While Nick is breaking hearts and even healing hearts, he also has a strong message to those who may look his way with a judging eye,
I’m just being myself and queer people are severely underrepresented in this genre of music. We do this shit too. So when somebody hears this song and loves it then realizes it’s sung by a guy in a skirt wearing more makeup than their girlfriend…I’m not opposed to being a part of that conversation.
The truth is that “The Hard Bitter Truth” is a heartbreak anthem that is catchy, infectious, and pure pop-punk gloriousness in one glam filled track from its glamorous chanteuse.
