A staple at celebrations and farewells, the song struck a chord with Josh Alexander when he heard it on the soundtrack of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, while Exiled Hope’s Sofia Frasz recalled her first encounter with the song was in Waking Ned Devine.
The duo take a bold step by transforming the Scottish folk standard into an entrancing folk metal rendition. The reimagining breathes new life into a timeless melody and features guest flautist Ember Belladonna who has elevated the track to new heights by adding an enchanting layer to the arrangement.
