Anyone who pays attention to the political landscape of the US knows that the state of Florida is one of many dumpster fires of the country, but there is also a plethora of artists that make Florida a source of great music and no, I’m not talking about Flo Rida either.
One artist making her mark and rising above the political noise and creating a musical noise all her own is young singer songwriter Francesca Tarantino. The Orlando spitfire is following her singles “My Runaway” and “Tragedy” with her latest track, “Truth Cannot Hide”.
Through “Truth Cannot Hide”, Francesca narrates the story of a secret that bears a great burden on friendship.
Francesca wrote,
“This song tells the story of having a best friend who you love, but after she tells you a secret, you’re having a hard time seeing her in the same way. You’re struggling to stand by her side and not judge, but learning she’s not who she used to be.”
With fierce determination, Francesca conveys the emotional turmoil a lie has not only a friendship but on the person who is aware of the lie. She has a wonderful strength in her voice that allows her to vocally show the pain of the lie and the empathy for the one who is hurt by the lie. The simplicity of the music allows her voice to simply shine.
