After Smoke Clears delivers a powerful preview of their upcoming album Intentions (November 2024) with their latest single, “Unintelligent.” Opening with a blistering assault of heavy riffs and ferocious beats, it sets the tone of unrestrained aggression that defines the song.

“Unintelligent” stands out not only for its raw fury but also for its brutally honest exploration of personal resilience. The track is a relentless display of metalcore’s unfiltered intensity as the band addresses emotional abuse that is both compelling and confrontational.

“’Unintelligent’ is a song about being treated like shit. Berated, and made to feel insignificant, the lyrics tell the story from a beginning, where you’ve heard these things said to you for so long you become accustomed to them, that you’ve become a permanent resident inside your own personal hell. “

The song’s impact is amplified by its focus of being a voice to those who often feel silenced. With its message etched  throughout the music and the lyrical message, “Unintelligent” is a defiant stance against adversity and is a transformative journey from suffering to empowerment.

Delivering both a sonic and emotional experience with “Unintelligent”, After Smoke Clears sets a high bar with its combination of aggressive metalcore and raw emotion.
