From their forthcoming EP, Mid Flight, Nature TV‘s latest single, “Words”, invites listeners into the melancholic musings and introspective world of cool summer nights via their signature blend of ‘sadboi’ yacht rock and indie-pop sound.
“Words” delicately reminds one that when their own voice seems to fail, there is solace in the comfort and kindness of others.
Singer and guitarist, Guy Bangham says of the song,
Words can get you into trouble. Trying to say something nice can come out awfully and just trying to get your point across can make no sense to anyone but you. Sometimes it’s best not to say anything at all, but then you’re frightened into isolation. This is for all those people who feel stranded out there, saying that the best way off your island is to reach out – most people want to help, don’t go down the lonely path of thinking they don’t.
Intertwining sparkling melodies, groovy beats, and frank lyrics, Nature TV effortlessly captures the nuanced feelings of how words can be a double edged sword.
