Liittle Miss EMERSON CARTER comes onto our radar via fellow music lover and avid concert goer Krissie aka JrzyGyrl. She shared a clip (below) of EMERSON at an open mic night at THE EVENING MUSE (Charlotte, NC) performing her song “MISSING YOU” and well, she blew us away that we knew she had to be our first US Spotlight.
She also does a cover of RYAN ADAMS‘ “Oh My Sweet Carolina” which is pretty impressive for a young voice like hers. She may not quiet nail that heartache like Ryan does but we don’t fault her for that at all. She is after all, only 11 years old.
Give Emerson a listen and if this is the future of music, I think we’re going to be all right.
