I have ONE complaint about the video for “Bastard Von Asgard” by Feuerschwanz – what happens!?!
If the band doesn’t pick up where “Bastard Von Asgard” ends in future videos, I will be crushed.
Last week, Feuerschwanz announced their new studio album, Fegefeuer, would be released on July 7 via Napalm Records. It is their follow up to the number one album (German Album Charts), Memento Mori. Along with the announcement of Fegefeuer, the band released the first single and video. The song “Bastard von Asgard” features Eluveitie singer Fabienne Erni.

With this song we pay our rightful tribute to the old gods! It is set in the saga world of the Vikings and deals with end of the world of betrayal and deceit. Odin’s son meets Loki’s bastard – with vocal support from Fabienne Erni, singer of the folkmetal pioneers Eluveitie! To do justice to the epic saga, we have turned the speed up to full blast and march toward the end of the world. Ragnarök can come!
The thing I love the most about this song is that it is a non-stop metal anthem from start to finish with a visually cliffhanging end and Fabienne has wonderful metal screams and holds her own vocals within the fast paced track.
