From J57’s latest album, THE HYPHENATE: DISC 1, comes the video for “MOON” featuring Christian Linsey. Created by animator and musician Justin Le Burgos, the stop-motion video uniquely blends the claymation styles popularised in the late 1990s and early 2000s with futuristic sci-fi elements. The video’s visuals beautifully capture the sadness and melancholy of the song, presented in an eye-catching and evocative style.

J57 shares his thoughts on the video:

“Justin Le Burgos is an animator that wears many hats, like myself, and his stop-motion animation was so incredible that I had to reach out to him to create a full music video for one of my favorite new songs, ‘MOON’. Justin and I had great conversations and a lot of email traffic to create this video. I came up with the main idea, but he expanded on it and brought my vision beyond anything I was imagining. The feeling of this song is really encapsulated in the visuals; where the video looks like how the song sounds.”
