From their Seasons: Vol 2 EP, out now, Blessed Black has dropped a lyric video for the song “Serpentine Sisters”.
On the song, frontman Joshua Murphy says,
“‘Serpentine Sisters’ is my favorite song we have written as a band to date. It was written in tribute to every woman in my life who helped shape me into who I am, and about watching them do amazing things despite living in a patriarchal society that is constantly making things an uphill battle for them. I feel very fortunate to have grown up around so many amazing women in my life, and I felt like I needed to find a way to convey that, and also create a call to action for every single woman out there who may not yet realize that she is capable of tremendous things on her own, despite society potentially telling her otherwise, or telling her that she needs the help of a man to reach her potential.”
