From their debut concept album Phantasmagoria, Black Daggers has released a video for the song “Wasted”. In our review of the album, we wrote that “Wasted” was steeped in 90s grunge and heavy with sludge guitars and doomy bass. While the video is more colourful, thanks to AI generation, the overall mood is nonetheless one of doom.
On the song, the song, the band says this,
“This song is from the point of view of speaking to your inner demons, and this song freely switches from one to the other. It’s not meant to be clear who is the one speaking at any given point, but it’s a conversation in the mirror. I think this is a relatable concept for people who struggle with their own inner demons.”
