DISCOVER: Search Party

Get ready to embark on a musical journey through lush melodies and nostalgic vibes with Belfast’s own indie rock quintet, Search Party. Following their successful 2023 UK and Ireland tour, where they captivated audiences and sold out prestigious venues, Search Party is ready to make an even bigger splash in 2024. With their upcoming EP and a headline show at The Empire slated for November 15th, the band is set to solidify their place as one of Belfast’s most exciting musical acts.

Crafted during rehearsals amidst the chaos of tour planning and the grind of everyday life, “Paradise” captures the essence of finding solace and tranquillity in the midst of chaos. With its heartfelt lyrics and entrancing melodies, “Paradise” invites one to embrace the beauty of the present moment and cherish the ones they love.

Recorded in the serene setting of Manor Park Studios, the creation of “Paradise” was not without its challenges. From navigating icy roads to perfecting harmonies and guitar intonation, the recording process was a labour of love guided by the meticulous expertise of engineer Neal Calderwood. Yet, amidst the challenges, the band found inspiration and camaraderie, resulting in a track that resonates with authenticity and emotion.

Drawing inspiration from the nostalgia of the 80s, “Paradise” is a sonic tapestry woven with lush synths, dreamy guitars, and infectious rhythms. Each element contributes to the song’s immersive atmosphere, inviting listeners to lose themselves in its ethereal beauty.

At the heart of “Paradise” lies a serendipitous discovery – the mesmerising riff that drives the song forward. Born out of a happy accident during rehearsals, the riff’s subtle shift in rhythm adds a layer of intrigue and depth to the track, making it a standout moment in Search Party‘s repertoire.

Search Party is the collective creativity and talent of Seán McD, Chris Anderson, Ryan Pendleton, Gareth Hill, and Dee Malone. With their energetic performances and electric sound, they have earned acclaim both locally and internationally, solidifying their status as one of Belfast’s most exciting musical exports.
