This is a secret I want no one to keep.
The latest track, “Keeping Secrets” by Life in Mono is hauntingly superb.
While I found vocalist Sarah Clayton utilising the strength of her vocals in “When You Play with Fire”, she unleashes a fiery if not feisty vocal performance that shows off the versatility of her vocal deftness in “Keeping Secrets”. It’s not quite malice that I hear, but it sure as hell isn’t benevolence either. She has a steadfast boldness to the way she sings the lyrics that are direct and pointed.
But Sarah is not alone in her stellar performance, she’s accompanied by Adam DT (bass), James Davis (guitar), and Mike Gill (drums) and they match her in their own brazen and fearless performance. Note for note, their intensity creates a striking reverberation that resonates throughout “Keeping Secrets”.
Stellar in vocal and musical performance, “Keeping Secrets” is haunting and bold and unwavering in intensity.
