la lune is back with another track from their upcoming debut EP disparity set to be released on April 19th. In “despondent”, the band explores the emotions that arise when one feels left behind in the race of life.

With a drum sound that reverberates like the relentless ticking of time, “despondent” captures the feeling of being trapped in a perpetual state of stagnation while witnessing others flourish around you. Lush vocals add layers of vulnerability and raw emotion as the lyrics grapple with feelings of inadequacy and uncertainty about a place in the world.

Set against a backdrop of fuzzed-out guitars and melancholy melodies, “despondent” is an existential crisis of knowing that growth comes from embracing the darkness as much as the light.
