Angharad is back with another infectious track, “Hormone Called Love” from her forthcoming debut album Motherland (March 1st). Like Angharad‘s debut song “Because I Am a Woman”, “Hormone Called Love” is a funk and sass filled track that is infectious and groovalicious.
She says this about the song,
“If there was ever a song to sum up my recent journey into songwriting and motherhood, it would be this. This is a feel-good song about music and love. It’s about all those gorgeous, juicy hormones we need to bond with one another, make love and… give birth! Oxytocin is often referred to as the love hormone. Along with endorphins and adrenaline, the body creates quite a potent concoction of chemicals during labour.”
And if there was ever a song that could sum up the essence of the love hormone, then this song is it. Angharad hooked me at the bass and everything else was icing on the cake. Infectious beats, funky bass, groovy guitars, hand claps, and Angharad’s lush vocals makes “Hormone Called Love” fun and pure f’n joy.
