“I Love It” from Ireland’s Skies Behind is from their forthcoming sophomore EP, The Spaces.
The trio of Dan Sheedy, vocals and rhythm guitar, Joe Clarke, drums, and Richard Brett, lead guitar have been crafting all killer no filler music since their inception and this year has seen them release three other tracks. For their EP, the trio hunkered down at their shared home and poured their hearts, souls, blood, sweat, and tears into the new project. It found them reflecting on hopes, fears, and dreams.

This song is about the overwhelming feeling of not being in control and not understanding what will make you happy. The hope in this song comes from the realisation that leaning on those closest to you, and being there when they need you, is the greatest source of balance.
With its infectious lyrics and high-energy blend of dynamic guitars and powerful drums, “I Love It” exudes a missed vitality that is not heard in rock-n-roll. The track harks back to the late ’90s rock era, reminiscent of bands such as Marvelous 3, Collective Soul, and Eve 6, who defined the scene with music that was both exhilarating and unapologetically bold.
