While the latest single, “Lazy” from Part Time Signals is far from lazy, it’s the perfect soundtrack for those lazy sun filled days as the summer sun eases behind the horizon.
From their forthcoming album, Another Day in Paradise, out on Oct 13th on Bubblewrap Collective, vocalist and guitarist, Jacob Church, says this of the song,
Lazy is a familiar feeling, it’s a laid back groove you can listen to while you’re feeling lazy in the morning.
Joining Jacob is Sam Barnes on bass, Gavin Jenkins on drums, and Michael Blanchfield on keys and what I like is that similar to its predecessors, “The Man” and “Take Me for a Ride”, “Lazy” continues the easy and relaxed vibe that Part Time Signals has brilliantly showcased with their trio of songs, but it also offers a wonderful organic late 60’s early 70’s vibe with the keys. Those keys add a layer of depth and richness to the song, and help to create a more nostalgic and timeless sound that is effortless.
