From their forthcoming album Beauty In Your Wake (July 5th), Fink’s latest single, “So We Find Ourselves” is a soul-stirring composition that embodies the essence of alt-folk with its stripped-back instrumentation and poignant lyricism.

Fink is Fin Greenall, Tim Thornton (drums/guitar), and Guy Whittaker (bass) and the trio embarks on a journey through themes of love, birth, and the innate optimism inherent in life’s natural progression with “So We Find Ourselves”.

With Fin’s evocative vocals and masterful piano accompaniment “So We Find Ourselves” is complemented by soulful backing vocals and subtle guitar percussion. It’s a testament to the band’s musical prowess and their ability to craft deeply resonant compositions with minimalistic instrumentation. Recorded in the tranquil surroundings of remote Cornwall, “So We Find Ourselves” exudes a sense of intimacy and authenticity that is both captivating and soul-stirring.

As the lyrics weave a narrative of fatherhood, self-belief, and the search for meaning, there’s a sense of respectful restraint in the song’s composition. A deliberate choice that allows the music to speak for itself without the need for embellishment or extravagance. In a world inundated with noise and distractions, “So We Find Ourselves” serves as a gentle reminder to pause, reflect, and find solace in the beauty of simplicity.
