Edinburgh, a city steeped in timeless beauty, has always held a special place in Rosie H Sullivan’’s heart and that love shines bright in her latest creation “Timeless”. In the song, she weaves the enchantment of Scotland into a melodious tapestry, drawing inspiration from the islands, highlands, the ocean, and the boundless skies.
The soulful journey of “Timeless” is created by Rosie’s tender guitar chords and vocals along with the moving spoken word, narrated by the late Hamish Gow, a Scottish kayaking pioneer. On the poignant connection Rosie shares,
In his final years, Hamish Gow, a close friend of my father’s, passed onto us old cinefilm that showed their kayaking adventures in the 1960s. Part of his narration now resides within the heart of ‘Timeless.’ It’s a moment of remembrance and reverence for my family.
With the music video set against the backdrop of the Scottish coastline, it offers an intimate view of Rosie’s vulnerability and singularity, mirroring the song’s power. The video also incorporates original footage from the Hamish Gow films, a touching tribute to an extraordinary explorer.
“Timeless” is another glimpse into Rosie’s upcoming EP, In My Nature (November 10th) a collection of songs that explore themes close to her heart and will feature her previous singles “Fragments”, “Chapters”, “Only a Woman” ,and the unreleased gem “Wildflowers and Cobblestones”.
Rosie’s connection to nature runs deep, and she describes it as an intrinsic part of her being but so does her talent as a storyteller and performer. With “Timeless”, she has crafted a musical love letter to the very essence of Scotland.
