With “Meet Me,” Donna Lewis and David Lowe have crafted a track that is driven by precise clockwork motion. Existing in a suspended space that is shaped by the quiet tension of two people waiting for a connection, there is a steady hum underpins staccato strings and pulses by creating a surface that feels delicate but controlled. The vocals hover rather than lead and reinforce the sense of time slowing to a pause. While the repetition and texture build anticipation around a single meeting, it leaves a stark silence. One that is alert, unresolved, and charged with possibility.
